Dental Implants
If you are missing teeth, implants are a permanent solution to improve appearance and function.
Implants are biocompatible titanium posts that are placed into the bone in place of missing tooth roots. After a healing period that allows the implants to fuse to the bone, a crown is used to replace the missing tooth for a very attractive and functional restoration.
Implants can also be used to improve the function of dentures. Generally, two implants will be placed for the lower jaw and four implants will be placed for the upper jaw. This attachment allows the denture to "snap" into place and provides stability and over 90% increase in function.
In addition to holding dentures in place, implants preserve bone level in the jaw, increasing strength and ridge size.
